I know it’s not the usual type of 60th birthday card but I thought it would be fun for my brother-in-law as he is still young at heart … and I know his grandchildren will love it! I guess it will be the only card he receives likes this anyhow! 🙂
These fun lolly-ice, or popsicle, cards have been round for a while and there are lots of examples on the web.
I followed the tutorial on Angie’s blog to make one as a topper for my card, attaching it with stampin dimensionals.
The lolly also opened to reveal a birthday message…
I did some stamping on the inside too…
Stampin Up supplies used:
Cardstock: crumb cake, whisper white, real red; Inks: real red, crumb cake; Stamp sets: tart & tangy, party this way, schoolbook serif numbers, afterthoughts (hostess level 1 set), heard from the heart; Punches: scallop edge, scallop circle, 1 3/8” circle, 1¼” circle, corner rounder; Accessories: stampin dimensionals, stampin write markers in real red and certainly celery, real red striped grosgrain ribbon (retired), lolly-ice stick from my kitchen.
