Christmas snowflakes …

Hello and welcome. For this month’s colour challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, Fabiola asked us to use kraft and red. Having to keep to 2 colours really is a challenge, so I used a partial die cutting technique and a card sketch to add interest to my card, taking inspiration from Jennifer McGuire . I added my own twist to Jennifer’s technique by impressing the die into the card too …

I first stamped a snowflake from Festive Flurry by Stampin Up onto a half-sheet of A4 crumb cake cardstock, scored and folded in half. I then partially die cut the snowflake using the matching framelit. The angles were cut across the card using my paper snips…

I stamped the mini-snowflakes image from the Christmas Pines stamp set over and over until it filled the top half of the card. I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment onto real red cardstock and added this as a panel to the inside of the card …

Finally, I added red stickles glitter to the centre of each of the tiny snowflakes and to parts of the large snowflake too for some Christmas sparkle…

I hope you like my card for this week.  We would love for you to join us at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and show us your beautiful artwork.

It’s great to hear from you, so please feel free to leave a message.

Thanks for dropping by today
