Little robin red breast

A brand new month brings a brand new hostess to set the challenges at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. The first challenge of the month is always a sketch. This one is for Deborah, whom I miss …

I spent a relaxing afternoon, colouring this stamped robin with alchohol pens.

The pretty paper matched beautifully, picking up the colours of the image, and made a great background…

Searching through my scraps box, I found a red tag which I thought fitted perfectly, not only with the colour scheme, but with the sketch too …

And finally, a glittery snowflake to add a little sparkle.

Some people believe that when a robin appears, loved ones are near. A robin frequently visits our garden and I love to listen to his birdsong – so wonderful.

I hope you like my card for this week. It would be lovely if you join us at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and share your beautiful artwork.

Enjoy your weekend.
