Stampin Up softly falling snow embossed background

Hello and welcome.

A brand new month means a brand new sketch challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Here’s my take on it …

I’m still challenging myself to use my paperscraps, and love working with a paper pad I’ve had since I first became a paper crafter. I chose several images from this pretty scrapbook paper, adhered them to a piece of card and fussy cut the designs, following the shapes on the paper…

I was able to line up the stitched detail, giving it an applique look.  I thought the white background looked a little plain, so I embossed it with the softly falling snow embossing folder by Stampin Up – perfect.

I added a length of grosgrain polka dot ribbon, then adhered the fussy cut shapes over top.

Finally, I stamped a greeting, adhered it to a soft sky base card and added silver half-back pearls.

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the challenge this week, the ladies on the design team have created some gorgeous examples for you and we’d love to see what you create.

Enjoy your weekend
